Vu Thi My Hanh (Ph.D candidate, Water Environment Technology Laboratory) won the best poster award at 7th Environmental Dimension of Antimicrobial Resistance (26-31 May, Montreal).
Her poster title is “Proximity-guided metagenomics to unravel physical association between plasmid-borne antimicrobial resistance genes and hosts in wastewater in Vietnam”.
Project Professor Masaaki Kitajima, Laboratory of International Wastewater-based Epidemiology, Research Center for Water Environment Technology, recieved the 5th Japan Research Front Award.
Emeritus Professor Kazuo Yamamoto was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize for 2020 for his pioneering work in developing the submerged membrane bioreactor (MBR).
The Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize honors outstanding contributions by individuals or organizations towards solving the world’s water challenges.
